Unless you’ve been in a coma since 1990 you should know that the end of an era has come. The story of the Boy Who Lived has come to an epic conclusion that broke records. An astounding $476 million in ticket sales was made on opening night. And this reporter was one of those ticket holders.

Everyone was dressed up as their favorite character. People started crying the minute the movie started. Sobs echoed throughout the theater once those gold letters crossed the screen. One girl broke down once the lights came up. It was an emotional night.

If I say the movie was excellent I’d be selling it short. It was absolutely amazing. David Yates, the director of the the last four movies (both parts of the Deathly Hallows included) did a spectacular job at putting the series to rest.

“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2” is basically a war movie. All of the scenes take place either at Hogwarts or at Gringotts Bank. Neville basically becomes a badass and lots of beloved characters perish at the hands of You-Know-Who. It is rated PG-13, but really it’s for all ages of all generations.
