Starting this week, a new Wednesday schedule will begin that allows students to get help from teachers and explore new subjects, Principal Myron Graber announced late last week.

This change is a result of the ongoing redesign process and student surveys. The surveys indicated that many students need more time to complete homework and talk with their teachers, and this schedule will allow that time.

During these Super Flex Wednesdays, students will not miss any mandatory content from their current courses and will not be assigned any new coursework. Wednesday will continue to be remote learning for all students.

It is up to the students to determine what sessions they need to attend. Students can choose any session from any teacher. These sessions include peer tutoring, homework help, guest speakers and review of class content.

Teachers are not allowed to dictate what sessions students attend unless a student is missing exams or failing.

Timewise, the Wednesday schedule will stay the same, starting at 8 a.m. and ending at 12:58 p.m.

Regardless of what sessions are picked, all students will report to their homeroom at 8 a.m. From 8:39 a.m. to 12:58, students will attend their various sessions with a break for lunch at 11:15 a.m.
