ALBUM REVIEW: Few Good Things by Saba

Released on Feb. 4, “Few Good Things” by Saba is a hip-hop and neo-soul album that explores reaching happiness and learning about oneself. From a lyrical standpoint, one of the tracks that explores these themes the most is “an Interlude Called ‘Circus’” with Eryn Allen Kane. On the melodic track, Saba delivers lines such as, “All the small things about being broke I never got to notice/I took everything for granted when the moment was slow motion.” The album has 14 tracks, with only two of them lacking features. In my favorite track, “If I Had A Dollar,” Saba talks about how he’s endured many failures to reach the success he has today, and reinforces the idea to listeners by saying, “Take a loss, take a win, take a breath/Take it in, take your time,” on the chorus.
