As the weather gets colder and winter approaches, people’s fashion changes. Students and staff adjust their wardrobe during the awkward period between inconsistent temperatures.
Senior Mimi Wood said she enjoys wearing warm colors for fall. She incorporates these colors through her tops and shoes.
“During the fall, I like to incorporate warm colors such as brown and yellows and reds,” Wood said.
Similar to Wood, English teacher Sophia Coen said she loves vintage clothes because they carry memories.

“I love that a piece of clothing can transport you to a memory. I have a hot pink fur coat that I thrifted in high school, which I think is so fun and rare,” Coen said.
As Coen likes vintage clothes, sophomore Vivenne Pro also enjoys clothes with a vintage feel. Pro said she likes to pair her low-rise jeans with any outfit because they make it look more put-together.
“My low-rise jeans go with anything, but they also elevate a look,” Pro said.

Coen said she enjoys adding color to her winter closet. She said she wears clothes that give a holiday vibe.
“I wear more jewel tones [in winter], because it gives it a holiday, kitschy Christmas vibe, so like hot pinks and coppers bring out winter,” Coen said
Similarly, Pro said she enjoys wearing sweaters in winter. She said she believes that sweaters help accentuate every winter outfit.
“My favorite winter statement piece is any of my sweaters because they are all so different,” Pro said. “I can just wear one every single day in the week, and it would be seen as different.”
Wood said fall is the best season to dress for. She said, despite the awkward transition period, she enjoys dressing for fall.
“I like to dress for fall because the colors are so pretty,” Wood said.
