After the game, the senior night ceremony began. There are a total of 15 seniors on the team.

With determination, senior Nick Howard kicks the ball down field. The firebirds won 3-0 against Olathe West.

Before the second half started, the soccer team huddled together. The firebirds ended the first half with the opposing team scoreless.

In the process of completing her forth touchdown of the night, Hodison takes the ball down field. Hodison scored a majority of the seniors touchdowns leading them to victory against the sophomores.

Homecoming candidates Simone McCaffrey and Maya Hodison cheer on a peer who is lighting the fire. At this point in the night the fire had not diminished.

The fire bird marching band starts off the homecoming parade on September 18th. The parade underwent some changes this year, including the route.

To conclude the parade a bonfire was held by the firebird statue. Students gathered around and sang the alma matter to celebrate Free States legacy.

During the parade, sophomore Shaza Al Kassim hands out candy to young community members watching. Al Kassim was part of the theater club float, their theme was "everything goes" to help promote their upcoming musical.

Just before scoring a 27 yard touchdown, junior Jax Dineen avoids getting tackled. The firebirds won against SMW with a score of 56-9. "Its the first time we've beat that team in awhile" Dineen says.

Focusing ahead, sophomore Bayn Schrader strives to get a spare. Schraders highest game score of the season was 259. "There's so much motivation for everyone to do well." Schrader said.
